Guided treks in MunsterIf you are looking for guided hiking and walking around Waterford and Cork, you could have a look at what Trailways Guided Walks has to offer. It provides a range of treks in south Munster. All abilities are catered for, from easy strolls to mountain treks

Galway Walking Club

Galway Walking Club (above) is inviting anyone who’s interested to join its organised walks. You can choose from a range of categories, with hill walks for fitter types, rambles for those less inclined to raise a sweat and short walks for those of a more sedate disposition. The club, which has been up and running for 20 years, has a mixed age group of 25 to 65, with more than 140 members. Wild-flower walk

Continuing its series of summer events, Wicklow Mountains National

Park is holding a wild-flower walk (above) a fortnight today, on June 27th, at 11am. A National Parks and Wildlife Service guide will show participants how to identify some of the wild flowers in Glendalough (above) and explain their ecology, folklore and history. The event is aimed at adults, but teenagers with an interest in natural history are also welcome. This walk is free, although booking is essential.
